This
“Travels” webpage highlights the places and events experienced from December
2004 through December 2007. The common
item in all these is Paul’s wireless laptop that weighs less than 3
pounds. For two years it served as our
GPS until last year when it was replaced by a Tom-Tom. When no GPS signal was present, the
Microsoft Streets &Maps, AutoRoute Applications and Google Maps was our
only guide. Nevertheless, this laptop
was carried during a Grand Teton hike and through the streets of Venice to
obtain wireless internet access at random. During the “Honeymoon”, the
majority of the touring occurred during the afternoon since Paul “worked”
wirelessly in the mornings and evenings on his sabbatical research. Just one
small sacrifice ……. but I’m still amazed that we accomplished to visit over a
life-time of fascinating places during our “Honeymoon”. Note
some parts of this web based “scrapbook” are still being developed as of
12/2007. |
