Position:  Recitation Instructor for Electromagnetic Fields and Waves

 

Presented and described  techniques for solving electrostatic, magnetostatic and electromag­netic problems in recitation. Explained the application of Maxwell’s equations in solving bound­ary-valued problems related to capacitance, resistance, inductance and transformers. Described the use of circuit analysis in deriving sinusoidial steady-state and transient responses in transmis­sion lines with passive and active loads. Analyzed problems using wave guides, plane wave trans­mission in dielectric and conductive materials and antennas. Described how to use a finite element electromagnetic CAD tool, FEHT, and a transmission line CAD tool, TLS, to solve prob­lems on assignments.
